Dominic Packer
Dominic Packer is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Lehigh University. He received his B.A. (Hon.) from McGill University (2001), and his Ph.D. (2007) in Psychology from the University of Toronto. From 2007 to 2008 he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at The Ohio State University.

Packer's research investigates how individuals' identities (models of themselves) influence their cognition and behavior in group contexts, including effects on evaluative biases, moral judgments and social influence. Dr. Packer recently advanced the Normative Conflict Model of dissent, outlining the conditions under which group members are likely to conform versus deviate from the norms of their collectives (e.g., Packer, 2008, 2009, in press; Packer & Chasteen, 2010).
